These New Old Stock (NOS) Rolling Chassis are original brand new chassis manufactured by Aurora. They are complete and ready to run. Just screw on your existing body and you're racing!

Sometimes it's just easier, and more cost-effective to simply replace an old worn out or damaged chassis than it is to purchase all of the individual parts required to bring an older ThunderJet back to life.

Save those old ThunderJet 500 chassis though, and strip them of their usable parts for your parts bin.

This is a complete T-Jet Gear Plate Assembly with a Mean Green Motor (MGM) armature pre-installed. Includes the Gear Plate itself as well as a 14T motor pinion, 20T Driver Gear, Cluster Shaft and 9T Axle Pinion. Idler gear not included.

Just replace your existing box-stock T-Jet gear plate with this MGM upgrade for improved performance!

These Polymer motor magnets replace the stock Aurora T-Jet magnets and create a much improved magnetic motor field. They can be used with box-stock motors or the Mean Green Motor above.

Designed to improve the performance of any Aurora T-Jet chassis.

Note JL/Tuff-Ones Rear Wheels & Tires are much wider than the standard ThunderJet wheels, yet they have the same overall diameter of the stock wheel and tire set, so they can be used without modifying the rear fender openings.

Tuff-Ones wheels and tires will do more to improve the performance of an original Aurora ThunderJet than any other single modification you can make.

Because the hubs are wider a slightly longer Tuff-Ones axle should also be used.

Note: JL/Tuff-Ones Silicone tires are wider than stock T-Jet tires. They can be used with Aurora Tuff-Ones chassis as well as all Johnny Lightning/Auto World ThunderJet 500 reproduction chassis.

A Silicone Tire 6-Pack contains 6 Pairs of tires.

Jel Claw Racing Slicks are a newly developed molded proprietary rubber/silicone blend that work extremely well on plastic and wooden tracks.

These tires are a direct replacement for the factory rubber tires fitted to all Aurora ThunderJet 500 slot cars.

Note: Owners of vintage Aurora Tuff-Ones, Auto World, and Johnny Lightning ThunderJet slot cars with wide rear tires should order the JL/Tuff-Ones Jel Claws instead.

This item is a black version of the original tan T-Jet carrying case. Brand new, but molded in black plastic instead of brown. Stores both T-Jet and the larger A/FX-sized cars. Two closed compartments for small parts storage along with two larger compartments for tools and accessories and individual compartments for up to 7 HO slot cars of any vintage.

The original tan unit had compartments to store 8 T-Jet slot cars, but Aurora later re-designed their Pit Kit to allow larger A/FX slot cars to be carried to the track as well. The total number of compartments was reduced to 7 to accommodate the wider A/FX body shells.

Note: A small amount of weight added to the front of an Aurora T-Jet chassis will improve handling in the turns. Place the weight on the flat section of the chassis near the front axle.

Placing lead weight at the rear of the chassis will also improve traction and tame an otherwise tail-happy car.

Lead weight is sold in sheets with a strong adhesive backing, and can easily be cut to size with a utility knife or scissors.

Note: The Lexan Body Mount Kit replaces the stock Gear Plate Clamp and allows 1:64 scale Lexan bodies to be used on any Aurora ThunderJet or Johnny Lightning/Auto World reproduction chassis.

I am also selling a nice set of wheels and tires for Aurora ThunderJets and Johnny Lightning/Auto World T-Jet reproduction chassis.

These wheel sets include both front and rear wheels and tires in four (4) different styles. Each "set" includes the four wheel styles shown below. You get 16 Wheels/Tires in this one set. That's enough to upgrade four T-Jets!

These wheels are a direct replacement for the factory stock wheels and tires and provide for a wider rear slick than what originally came on an Aurora T-Jet. They'll fit any chassis and no body modifications are required.

They'll really dress up an Aurora T-Jet, and make for a much better handling car to boot!

Front tires are 0.025" wide and the rears are 0.085" in width. That's much wider than the standard T-Jet tires, but they will still fit in the wheel opening without modification.

Note: BSRT T-Jet Delrin Hubs and Silicone tires are "Wide" and should only be used on Fray-style T-Jets or chassis fitted with 1:64 scale Lexan bodies. These hubs and tires will protrude well beyond the fenders of most T-Jet bodies. They do work well on Hot-Rods though.

These high-quality Shelby Cobra 427 S/C Roadsters fit any Aurora ThunderJet 500 chassis as well as Johnny Lightning and Auto World T-Jet reproductions.

These are injection-molded ABS plastic body shells, not resin castings. They come fully assembled, painted and decorated. Bumpers and side pipes are chrome plated. Simply mount them on your T-Jet chassis and you'll be ready to race!
