Auto World HO slot cars provide some of the most interesting body styles available to the HO racer. Many are reproductions of the original Aurora ThunderJet 500 body shells. Auto World is also reproducing many of the vintage Aurora A/FX body styles as well.

If you're looking to replace cars from an old Aurora set, just remember that ThunderJet 500 slot cars have a pancake chassis with mounting screws at the front and rear to attach the body shell. Aurora A/FX Magnatraction chassis have side tabs, so body shells can just be snapped on and off.

Note: Any of the Auto World slot cars shown below will run on any brand of HO track, so whether you have Tomy, Tyco, Model Motoring, A/FX or Life-Like track, any of the Auto World slot cars below can be raced on your track.

Warning: Auto World slot cars are reproductions of the original Aurora ThunderJet and A/FX Magna-Traction cars from the 1960's and 1970's. They do not have the speed or strong traction magnets that keep modern cars stuck down.

If you're looking for cars for younger racers these should be avoided. The Tomy AFX line of slot cars are perfect for young kids as well as adults.

If you raced Aurora when you were a kid and you like the old school drifting and sliding, then by all means try an Auto World reproduction.

Auto World also offers Rolling Chassis and Pit Kits to repair their slot cars.

Auto World Hop-Up Parts including Pickup Shoes and Silicone Tires can be used to improve the handling and performance of your Auto World slot cars. I also stock several specialty Tools that make working on these chassis much easier.

Auto World HO slot car body shells can also be fitted to the original Aurora T-Jet, A/FX, G+Plus, Magna-Traction and all Tomy chassis. ThunderJet 500 releases have two body mounting screws that allow them to be fastened to the 1:76 scale Aurora T-Jet chassis, while the XTraction releases fit all other Aurora and Tomy 1:64 scale chassis.
