|
Vibrator |
The original Model Motoring Vibrator chassis that started it all. This chassis was first produced in England and then later sold here in the U.S.A. See the History section for more information about how HO Slot Car Racing first began. |
|
|
ThunderJet 500 |
The Aurora Model Motoring ThunderJet 500 chassis was the first mass-produced HO slot car offered to the U.S. market. Over its long production life nearly 40 Million of these chassis where produced. |
|
Aurora A/FX Chassis |
The Aurora A/FX
chassis followed the original T-Jet chassis and improved upon its
design by increasing the size and weight of the chassis itself and by
adding wide rear tires for better traction and handling. |
|
Aurora A/FX Super II Chassis |
The Aurora A/FX Super II
chassis further improved upon the original A/FX chassis by adding a
high-torque motor, taller gearing, front and side chassis weights and a
vacuum-formed Lexan body shell. |
|
Aurora A/FX Magna-Traction Chassis |
The Aurora A/FX Magna-Traction
chassis was Aurora's first attempt at using magnetic downforce to
improve performance and handling. The magnetic attraction of the motor
magnets and steel power rails made these chassis stick to the track better than the original A/FX chassis. |
|
Aurora A/FX G+Plus Chassis |
The Aurora A/FX G+Plus
chassis was a radical departure from Aurora's earlier HO slot car
chassis. Gone was the power-robbing three-gear pancake motor plate, to
be replaced by a much simpler and more powerfull inline motor
configuration. Stronger motor magnets were now placed directly above the
track power rails for true magnetic downforce. |
|
Aurora A/FX Specialty Chassis |
The Aurora A/FX Specialty
chassis was a longer wheelbase version of the standard A/FX and
Magna-Traction chassis. A fourth gear was added to the gear plate and
larger diameter wheels and tires were used both front and read. Most of
the other parts such as motor brushes and pickup shoes were the same as
those parts used on the standard size chassis. |
